Description:

  • SQUIRE is seeking an iOS Engineer to develop cutting-edge iOS applications for barbers and the barbershop community.
  • The role involves designing and implementing impactful mobile features that enhance efficiency and accessibility for users.
  • Responsibilities include delivering high-quality and maintainable iOS code, collaborating with Product Managers and Designers to improve user experience, and contributing to the iOS Engineering and Product vision.
  • The engineer will design robust code patterns, explore and implement new Swift and iOS technologies, and ensure optimal app performance using monitoring tools.
  • Additional duties include contributing to engineering documentation and supporting team members in achieving sprint commitments.

Requirements:

  • Candidates must have proven experience building iOS applications with expertise in Swift and SwiftUI.
  • Experience with modern architecture patterns such as TCA, MVVM, or MVP is required.
  • Knowledge of multi-threaded programming and tools like GCD and Swift Concurrency is essential.
  • A strong understanding of functional and/or object-oriented programming is necessary.
  • Familiarity with engineering best practices, including code reviews and maintaining test coverage, is expected.
  • Experience with version control systems like Git is required for efficient workflows.
  • Candidates should be solutions-oriented and able to communicate technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • A passion for staying informed on the latest trends and advancements in the iOS development ecosystem is important.
  • Applicants must be based and eligible to work in either the United Kingdom or Ontario, Canada.
