Description:
SQUIRE is seeking an iOS Engineer to develop cutting-edge iOS applications for barbers and the barbershop community.
The role involves designing and implementing impactful mobile features that enhance efficiency and accessibility for users.
Responsibilities include delivering high-quality and maintainable iOS code, collaborating with Product Managers and Designers to improve user experience, and contributing to the iOS Engineering and Product vision.
The engineer will design robust code patterns, explore and implement new Swift and iOS technologies, and ensure optimal app performance using monitoring tools.
Additional duties include contributing to engineering documentation and supporting team members in achieving sprint commitments.
Requirements:
Candidates must have proven experience building iOS applications with expertise in Swift and SwiftUI.
Experience with modern architecture patterns such as TCA, MVVM, or MVP is required.
Knowledge of multi-threaded programming and tools like GCD and Swift Concurrency is essential.
A strong understanding of functional and/or object-oriented programming is necessary.
Familiarity with engineering best practices, including code reviews and maintaining test coverage, is expected.
Experience with version control systems like Git is required for efficient workflows.
Candidates should be solutions-oriented and able to communicate technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
A passion for staying informed on the latest trends and advancements in the iOS development ecosystem is important.
Applicants must be based and eligible to work in either the United Kingdom or Ontario, Canada.
Benefits:
The position offers a competitive base salary of 80,000 GBP or 144,064 CAD.
