Description:

  • Brightspeed is seeking an IT Lead ETL Engineer to develop modern data pipelines that meet key business objectives.
  • The role requires an enthusiastic and motivated ETL engineer with proven abilities to organize, prioritize tasks, and resolve technical issues.
  • Responsibilities include designing and implementing ETL processes to ingest and organize large volumes of data from various sources.
  • The engineer will design ETL solutions for Data Warehouse, Data Mart, and Data Lake.
  • Building streaming and batch data pipelines is a key duty.
  • The position involves close collaboration with cross-functional teams in IT and business partners to build ETL solutions.
  • The engineer will implement ETL solutions for large data volumes using various data warehouse modeling techniques like Star Schema.
  • Responsibilities also include building reusable code, components, and services that incorporate versioning, reconciliation, and exception handling.
  • Effective communication with both technical and non-technical stakeholders is essential.

Requirements:

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or a relevant field is required, along with 8+ years of progressive experience in designing, developing, and deploying data warehouse and Big Data solutions.
  • Candidates must have 5+ years of experience in designing, building, and supporting real-time and batch data pipelines and analytical solutions using Hadoop (Hive, Kafka, Spark, Spark Streaming, HBase) and Teradata, as well as ETL tools like Informatica, Talend, Data Fusion, Python/Java, and Oracle/Exadata.
  • At least 1 year of experience delivering data solutions on cloud platforms such as GCP or Azure is necessary.
  • Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills are required to drive actionable insights that facilitate cross-functional initiatives and business outcomes.
  • Candidates should possess excellent planning skills, including the ability to organize, prioritize, and control job responsibilities to meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving abilities are essential.
  • Experience in Hadoop cluster creation and management is required.
  • The ability to expertly solve complex technical problems is necessary.
  • Expert knowledge of non-functional requirements, including security, scalability, and usability, is required.
  • Candidates should have expert knowledge of data design patterns, principles, and practices.
  • A demonstrated ability to develop and support a scalable data platform is essential.
  • Comfort in working within a dynamic, start-up culture is necessary.
  • Telecom experience is desired.
