Description:
Brightspeed is seeking an IT Lead ETL Engineer to develop modern data pipelines that meet key business objectives.
The role requires an enthusiastic and motivated ETL engineer with proven abilities to organize, prioritize tasks, and resolve technical issues.
Responsibilities include designing and implementing ETL processes to ingest and organize large volumes of data from various sources.
The engineer will design ETL solutions for Data Warehouse, Data Mart, and Data Lake.
Building streaming and batch data pipelines is a key duty.
The position involves close collaboration with cross-functional teams in IT and business partners to build ETL solutions.
The engineer will implement ETL solutions for large data volumes using various data warehouse modeling techniques like Star Schema.
Responsibilities also include building reusable code, components, and services that incorporate versioning, reconciliation, and exception handling.
Effective communication with both technical and non-technical stakeholders is essential.
Requirements:
A Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or a relevant field is required, along with 8+ years of progressive experience in designing, developing, and deploying data warehouse and Big Data solutions.
Candidates must have 5+ years of experience in designing, building, and supporting real-time and batch data pipelines and analytical solutions using Hadoop (Hive, Kafka, Spark, Spark Streaming, HBase) and Teradata, as well as ETL tools like Informatica, Talend, Data Fusion, Python/Java, and Oracle/Exadata.
At least 1 year of experience delivering data solutions on cloud platforms such as GCP or Azure is necessary.
Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills are required to drive actionable insights that facilitate cross-functional initiatives and business outcomes.
Candidates should possess excellent planning skills, including the ability to organize, prioritize, and control job responsibilities to meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.
Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving abilities are essential.
Experience in Hadoop cluster creation and management is required.
The ability to expertly solve complex technical problems is necessary.
Expert knowledge of non-functional requirements, including security, scalability, and usability, is required.
Candidates should have expert knowledge of data design patterns, principles, and practices.
A demonstrated ability to develop and support a scalable data platform is essential.
Comfort in working within a dynamic, start-up culture is necessary.
Telecom experience is desired.
