Description:

  • Join Brightspeed as an IT Lead Full Stack Developer and Operations Support Engineer to contribute to reimagining how people live, work, play, and connect by providing fast, reliable internet connections.
  • Work on designing, implementing, and managing scalable, secure, and reliable cloud infrastructure, preferably on GCP.
  • Develop Micro Services based solutions using Java/JEE frameworks, UI frameworks, Docker, and Kubernetes/EKS.
  • Ensure the development of responsive high-performing applications by integrating front-end technologies like Angular JS.
  • Champion modern software development practices, including automated testing, CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps principles.
  • Perform code reviews, provide guidance on secure coding practices, and troubleshoot application issues.
  • Be available on-call 24/7 to support internal Network Operations applications and collaborate within the team to resolve application alerts.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve the reliability, performance, and scalability of products and services supported by the Network Operations team.
  • Collaborate with development teams to integrate security practices throughout the CI/CD pipeline.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in enterprise full stack Java development (J2EE, Spring, Hibernate, Tomcat) with back-end experience in PostgreSQL or MySQL and Angular front end.
  • 3+ years of experience in DevSecOps, infrastructure, and application support.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
  • Proven leadership abilities, with experience mentoring junior developers and driving technical excellence.
  • Expertise in Agile development, CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI, CircleCI), version control systems (Git), containerization, orchestration tools (Docker, Kubernetes), GCP, and cloud-native architectures.
  • Strong experience in APM tools configuration and monitoring (Dynatrace/AppDynamics/New Relic/Datadog/Splunk/Sumo Logic).
