Description:
DMV IT Service LLC is seeking an experienced IT Security Engineer with expertise in Genetec applications to join their team.
The role involves analyzing, configuring, and deploying security solutions to support a rapidly growing global client base.
The ideal candidate will have a solid background in electronic security systems, network infrastructure, and virtual machine management.
Responsibilities include designing and implementing new access control and CCTV systems, recommending hardware and software solutions.
The engineer will install, program, and configure commercial electronic security systems, including door access control, CCTV, and intrusion detection.
The position requires managing and troubleshooting virtual environments across platforms such as VMware, Hyper-V, or cloud-based solutions to ensure optimal performance and security.
The engineer will develop network infrastructure solutions, including designing, configuring, and troubleshooting complex networks involving TCP/IP, VLANs, VPNs, routers, and firewalls.
Providing technical support and training to clients and internal teams on security system functionalities is also a key responsibility.
The candidate must stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies in security and network infrastructure.
Developing and maintaining comprehensive documentation for all systems and solutions is required.
Collaboration with IT teams and clients to understand business requirements and develop customized solutions is essential.
Requirements:
A Bachelor’s degree in Technology, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent experience is required.
The candidate must have 8+ years of experience in installing and programming security systems, particularly with Genetec applications.
Strong knowledge of configuring various Security Access Control, CCTV, and Intrusion systems is necessary.
Proficiency in Genetec, including required experience with Genetec Access Control and Video Management systems, is essential.
The candidate must demonstrate the ability to work effectively both independently and within cross-functional project teams.
