Description:
The Java Application Support Engineer (L2) will be responsible for providing Level 2 support for production environments to ensure the stability and smooth operation of applications.
The role involves collaborating with development teams and senior stakeholders to troubleshoot technical issues and drive solutions.
The position requires expertise in ITIL processes, SQL (PL/SQL), UNIX, Shell Scripting, and Java code debugging.
Responsibilities include monitoring system performance, resolving incidents, documenting solutions, and working with other support teams to maintain system stability.
Requirements:
Proven experience as an L2 support engineer with a strong support background.
Excellent communication skills to articulate technical issues and collaborate with development teams and stakeholders.
Familiarity with ITIL processes, including Service Management, Knowledge Management, and Incident Management.
Hands-on experience with SQL (PL/SQL) for analyzing joins, stored procedures, and triggers.
Proficiency in UNIX and Shell Scripting for monitoring processes and script errors.
Ability to read, understand, and debug Java code for troubleshooting application-related issues.
Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills with the ability to perform root cause analysis (RCA).
