Remote Java Back-End Engineer

Description:

• The Trustly Americas team is seeking a Java Back-End Engineer to join their growing team in a remote capacity.
• The role involves designing tech solutions, discussing non-functional requirements, proposing new tools, creating technical documentation, and assessing new solutions.
• Responsibilities include developing metrics, alerts, and system dashboards using tools like Prometheus, Kibana, Grafana, and New Relic.
• The engineer will provide training for newcomers and operational teams, and support operational teams by monitoring system health and performance.
• The position requires leading initiatives that involve gathering business requirements, participating in functional discussions, and documenting features.
• The engineer will autonomously develop complex solutions, create and maintain integration and unit tests, and develop API endpoints and backend services.
• The role also involves analyzing large volumes of data and logs to investigate complex issues.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have solid knowledge and experience with Java.
• A strong understanding of software engineering concepts is required.
• Experience with relational and/or non-relational databases is essential.
• Basic knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript is necessary.
• Candidates should demonstrate ownership and a focus on solutions.
• The ability to work with remote and international teams is important.
• Clear and objective communication skills are required.
• Advanced English proficiency is necessary for participating in meetings.
