Remote java backend developer

Description:

• This is a 12+ months contract position in Singapore, requiring the candidate to join on short notice or immediately.
• The role involves working in a team of 2-6 software engineers to develop and maintain software.
• Responsibilities include working on implementation, integration, testing, and deployment phases of project delivery.
• Understanding technical design, participating in design reviews, executing and reporting project tasks, and collaborating with team members across different domains and locations.
• Ensuring the quality of deliveries and adherence to processes and practices.

Requirements:

• Bachelor/master’s degree in computer science, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, or related field.
• 2 to 4 years of professional experience in areas like payments, financial services, internet-based services, or software products.
• Proficiency in Java (preferably with Spring Boot experience), working in Linux/Unix environments, using source control tools (preferably GIT), software design and development methodologies (agile methodology), OO-based analysis and design, and Database Design (Oracle/MySQL).
• Experience in Business Process Management (BPM) like Camunda Process Engine is a plus.
• Strong analytical and innovative skills, ability to think strategically and develop software based on requirements.
• Excellent verbal and writing skills, capable of producing clear, concise communications and documentation.
• Effective at working in cross-functional and cross-geographical organizations, adaptable to a fast-paced environment with diverse cultures.
