Description:
The Java Developer will design and implement applications using web technologies mostly independently.
Responsibilities include creating and maintaining product and support documentation.
The role involves analyzing and evaluating requirements and proposing high-level design and technical solutions at all stages of development.
The developer will analyze solutions to ensure they are interoperable, performant, and maintainable.
Adherence to team/department coding standards is required.
Participation in and providing final approval for code reviews is expected.
The developer will research technologies for new and existing modules of the solution, such as Machine Learning frameworks and data storage frameworks.
Advising and providing input into good technical design and industry trends is part of the role.
The developer will break down work for other team members and serve as the go-to person for project issues and status.
Leading by example in department/team best practices is essential.
The developer is accountable for ensuring that all working hours are accurately reported in NetSuite, with a focus on tracking billable hours.
Compliance with privacy, security, and confidentiality policies is mandatory.
Requirements:
A minimum of 5 years of software development experience is required.
Proficiency in Java, Spring, Rest API, SQL, and Git is necessary.
Experience in developing middleware products and unit testing practices is required.
The candidate must be able to create and maintain clear documentation.
The ability to maintain repositories with a focus on code health and quality is essential.
Experience in end-to-end feature development is required.
Knowledge or experience in healthcare, specifically HL7/FHIR, is an asset but not mandatory.
