Description:
TuxCare is seeking a dedicated and experienced Java Developer Relations (DevRel) Engineer to serve as the voice and liaison for their endless lifecycle support services.
The role involves engaging with Java communities, advocating for legacy support services, and bridging the gap between established systems and developers.
Responsibilities include acting as the primary contact for Java developers, cultivating relationships with community leaders, and creating high-quality technical content.
The engineer will deliver presentations and workshops on maintaining and modernizing legacy Java projects.
Organizing and participating in meetups, conferences, and webinars focused on Java and legacy system maintenance is also a key responsibility.
The role requires gathering community insights to inform product enhancements and collaborating with various teams to ensure effective messaging.
The engineer will represent TuxCare on online forums and social media, monitoring trends within the Java ecosystem.
Requirements:
Candidates must have an in-depth understanding of Java, its frameworks, tooling, and the challenges of maintaining legacy systems.
Proven experience in developer relations, advocacy, or community management, particularly in environments emphasizing legacy support, is required.
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills are necessary, with a talent for translating complex technical concepts into clear insights.
Proficiency in creating diverse content forms, such as articles and videos, addressing challenges in maintaining legacy Java systems is essential.
A collaborative and proactive mindset is needed, with a passion for helping organizations extend the life and performance of their Java applications.
