Description:
Oddball is seeking a Java Engineer to contribute to a pivotal Federal program that positively impacts millions of Americans' daily lives.
The role involves writing code, developing tests, and debugging while collaborating with other engineers to develop end-to-end testing solutions and API endpoints and services.
Responsibilities include collaborating with stakeholders to analyze and design software solutions, creating, modifying, and testing code for computer applications, and developing applications from specifications.
The engineer will write, analyze, review, and rewrite programs, conduct trial runs of software applications, and perform revisions or expansions of existing programs to enhance efficiency.
The position requires maintaining and controlling the use of computer systems software, identifying and correcting problems uncovered by testing or customer feedback, and participating in team agile ceremonies.
The engineer may assist software developers by analyzing user needs and designing software solutions, as well as developing and writing computer programs in response to varied customer business requests.
Requirements:
Candidates must have strong experience working with Java, preferably with Spring Boot Middleware.
A minimum of 2+ years of Angular experience is required.
Experience with CI/CD pipelines and cloud computing services, including AWS, is necessary.
Candidates should have experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment with sprints and daily stand-ups.
The ability to work with an interdisciplinary team of engineers, including data scientists, UX, product, and software engineers, is essential.
Strong communication skills and the ability to work well in a team are required.
Applicants must be US Citizens and able to work domestically.
Candidates must be able to attain low-level security clearance.
A Bachelor’s Degree is required.
