A client is seeking a Java Engineering Lead to join their team remotely from Spain.
The role involves driving the development of cutting-edge logistics software, ensuring high-performance microservices architecture and seamless system integration.
The Java Engineering Lead will oversee a talented global team, ensuring the best development practices, fostering innovation, and delivering robust, scalable cloud-based solutions.
Responsibilities include architecting, developing, and deploying scalable microservices using Java and AWS, leading and mentoring a distributed development team across Spain and India, and collaborating cross-functionally to align technical solutions with business goals.
The role also requires implementing best practices in coding, testing, and CI/CD pipelines, optimizing system performance, scalability, and reliability for cloud applications, staying ahead of emerging technologies, and conducting code reviews to provide technical guidance.

Requirements:

Candidates must have strong experience as a Java Developer, Tech Lead, or Solution Architect with expertise in microservices architecture.
A deep knowledge of AWS cloud services (EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, ECS) is required.
Experience with Docker and ECS is considered a plus.
Proven ability to design and implement RESTful APIs for seamless system integration is necessary.
Expertise in CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices is essential.
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills for complex technical challenges are required.
Excellent leadership and communication skills with experience managing remote teams are mandatory.
Fluency in English and Spanish is required, and knowledge of German is a plus.
