H2O.ai is seeking a Java Software Engineer to join their team in Krakow, Poland.

Responsibilities include designing, developing, and deploying applications using Java, Kubernetes, Go, Python, Protobuf, gRPC, and REST API.
The engineer will help design and maintain a scalable microservices architecture and optimize large datasets.
The position requires working with streaming data, specifically with Kafka and real-time data processing.
The engineer will use Helm for deploying and managing Kubernetes applications and will be responsible for debugging, testing, and refining software.
The role offers mentorship from a seasoned Senior Engineer to support learning and growth.

Requirements:

A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent work experience is required.
Candidates should have 2-4 years of software development experience or solid projects if they are fast learners.
Proficiency in Java, Go, Python, Kubernetes, Protobuf, gRPC, REST API, and microservices architecture is essential.
A passion for data-heavy applications and experience handling large datasets is necessary.
Familiarity with microservices architecture and distributed systems is required.
Experience with Kafka or Helm is a bonus, but the company is willing to provide training.
Knowledge of JVM-based languages is advantageous but not mandatory.
A growth mindset is expected, with an eagerness to learn and develop new skills.
Candidates must be based in Poland or the Czech Republic.
