Remote Javascript Expert (L4) Software Engineer - Voice & Video

Description:

• The Video JavaScript SDK Staff Engineer position at Twilio involves building and delivering Voice and Video functionalities through JavaScript SDKs.
• The features developed will be used by thousands of customers for various purposes such as contact centers, healthcare services, and client advisors.
• Responsibilities include leading the design, development, and shipping of new features, owning the technical backlog and architectural roadmap of the SDKs, mentoring junior engineers, and enhancing the customer developer experience.
• The role also involves managing CI/CD pipelines, enhancing automated tests, monitoring and triaging customer issues, and improving Twilio Voice and Video reference apps.

Requirements:

• Advanced verbal and written communication skills in English are required.
• Applicants should have at least 8 years of software development experience using JavaScript for cross-browser applications.
• Extensive experience with TypeScript and JS frontend frameworks/libraries like React, Angular, or VueJS is necessary.
• Proficiency in backend development using JS frameworks like Node.js and Express is required.
• Solid experience in creating REST APIs and using WebSockets is a must.
• Experience in creating unit and integration tests using technologies like Mocha, Karma, Jest is essential.
