Description:

The Tech Lead Java position at CI&T in Colombia involves leading projects and teams using Java, with hands-on involvement in technical aspects.
Responsibilities include managing architectural designs, sprints, roadmaps, and technical discussions, as well as developing, managing, and prioritizing user stories for timely delivery and high-quality outcomes.
The Tech Lead will provide guidance and support to team members, collaborate with clients to understand requirements, propose solutions, and address technical challenges.
They will design, develop, and deploy Java-based applications using Spring Boot and Spring Cloud, implement and maintain microservices architecture, create and optimize RESTful APIs and microservices, and design and implement data storage solutions using SQL and NoSQL databases.
Utilization of Kubernetes and Docker for containerization, implementation of CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, GitHub Actions, and NewRelic, and collaboration with cloud architects to build solutions on AWS Cloud are also part of the role.
The Tech Lead will develop and execute unit tests, integration tests, and performance tests, facilitate agile software development practices, maintain communication with clients and stakeholders, and stay updated with industry trends and best practices in Java development, cloud computing, and software engineering.

Requirements:

Experience in development using Java 11/17, Spring Boot 2 and 3 + Spring Cloud, Core Java, Object-Oriented Principles, and microservice architecture design, Restful APIs + Microservices, and databases like NoSQL and SQL.
Proficiency in Kubernetes + Docker, creating applications from scratch, CI/CD toolsets like Jenkins, GitHub Actions, and NewRelic, and AWS Cloud services like SQS, SNS, Kafka, Lambda, DynamoDB, OpenSearch, and Appsync.
Familiarity with unit testing, integration testing, frameworks like Cucumber, Junit, or Karate, Pyramid Testing, and performance tests with Gatling.
Soft skills include leading projects and teams, debating/explaining/discussing/building architectural solutions with clients, supporting the team, working on code reviews, and having excellent English communication skills.
More than 6 years of experience in the mentioned skills and knowledge of agile software development processes/practices are required.
