Description:

• CI&T is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Backend Developer to join their team in Colombia.
• The role involves contributing to an innovative US-based project in a collaborative, fast-paced, and results-driven environment.
• As a Senior Backend Developer, you will focus on developing and managing a collection of self-contained distributed services, including embedded systems.
• These services are designed for high availability and reliability, built on reusable tools, adapters, and common architectural patterns.
• Your work will power workflows, business logic, and facilitate bi-directional communication across data sources and API/Edge services, forming the core systems that drive projects.
• Key responsibilities include designing, developing, testing, deploying, maintaining, and improving software applications.
• You will contribute to end-to-end solution design and development, working on both frontend and backend components.
• The role requires building and maintaining underlying data and service layers for applications interacting with data stores such as MS SQL and Oracle.
• You will participate in the design of contracts and schemas for APIs and middleware services.
• Establishing design patterns, building component libraries, and contributing to technical documentation are also part of the responsibilities.

Requirements:

• Solid experience with C# .NET and Python for building backend services, adapters, and tools is required.
• An excellent understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) and end-to-end solution execution is necessary.
• Experience with design, implementation, and consumption of API services and service-oriented architecture patterns is essential.
• Familiarity with decoupled distributed services is required.
• Proficiency in debugging and profiling applications to enhance their efficiency, scalability, and stability is needed.
• Working knowledge of RESTful and event-driven architectures is necessary.
• Familiarity with GraphQL and other API strategies is a plus.
• Experience with Azure cloud services, IoT, and edge computing is required.
• Working knowledge of OpenAPI / Swagger specifications is necessary.
• Familiarity with modern authorization mechanisms for secure, role-based access is required.
• A strong understanding of core programming concepts, such as algorithms and data structures, is essential.
• Proficiency with Git and Azure DevOps or other CI/CD tooling is required.
• Working knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and Terraform is necessary.
• Experience with Single Page Applications (SPA) and Progressive Web Applications (PWA) is a plus.
• Familiarity with specialty JavaScript UI frameworks such as React, Angular, or Vue is advantageous.
