Description:

The position is for a Jr. Software Engineer specializing in Python, based in Ann Arbor, Michigan, and is remote.

The role involves working on complex software development projects that support the analytics team and non-technical users.
The software developed will connect data pipelines that handle millions of data rows to front-end web applications.
The tech stack includes a Python backend, JavaScript front-end, and PostgreSQL database hosted on AWS.
Team members are encouraged to take on additional projects of interest to add value to the agency.

Requirements:

Candidates must possess a technical degree at the bachelor's level or higher, with significant coding projects and preferably some professional coding experience.
Core qualifications include strong proficiency in Python coding and experience with SQL and other data-focused scripting languages.
Preferred candidates should have an understanding of Flask, JavaScript, and/or other web development tools.
Applicants should have experience developing software projects from start to finish, either independently or as part of a team, and must provide evidence of this in their application (e.g., GitHub, personal website, or code samples).

The base salary for this role ranges from $50,000 to $65,000, depending on experience, and includes eligibility for a generous annual bonus plan.
