Description:

As a Software Engineer at Canonical, you will be working on the development of Juju, a significant open-source Go project used for managing complex distributed software systems globally.
Juju facilitates model-driven operations, enabling the operation of intricate software on public cloud, private cloud, Kubernetes, and bare-metal, offering a comprehensive solution for applications and infrastructure management.
The role involves collaborating with internal and external teams, including Canonical Managed Solutions, OpenStack and cloud delivery teams, and Fortune 500 companies.
Your responsibilities will include contributing to the design, delivery, and support of features in a highly concurrent, distributed system, debugging issues, collaborating with a distributed team, and participating in global travel for internal and external events.
Desired skills include experience in Go development, strong English communication skills, exceptional academic background, and willingness to travel up to 4 times a year for internal events.

Requirements:

Experience developing software using Go.
Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written, especially in online environments.

Willingness to travel up to 4 times a year for internal events.
