Description:

MentorMate is seeking a Junior Android Developer to join their Mobile team in a remote capacity.
The role involves managing the full technical life-cycle of building features, fixing bugs, and improving technology.
The mobile development team has over 20 years of industry experience and utilizes the latest mobile development technologies such as Swift UI, Jetpack Compose, React Native, and Flutter.
Responsibilities include researching and adapting functionality to leverage existing Android design patterns, collaborating with team members from various disciplines, coding with Kotlin, Java, and Android frameworks, and handling new feature development, testing, maintenance of existing features, and bug fixes.

Requirements:

Candidates must have at least 1 year of experience as an Android Developer.
A Bachelor's or advanced degree in computer science or a related discipline is required.
Familiarity with back-end development is necessary.
A good understanding of managing limited resources (memory, network, CPU) efficiently is essential.
Strong analytical-reasoning and problem-solving skills are required.
Excellent spoken and written English is mandatory.
The ability to collaborate effectively in a small team is important.
A passion for improving education through technology is desired.
Experience working with Kotlin on Android is considered a significant advantage.
