Description:
LivePerson is seeking a Junior Backend Developer (Java) to join the Platform Foundation team, which consists of 5 engineers across 3 European countries.
The role involves working in a fast-paced environment on projects that enhance customer engagement through messaging.
Responsibilities include building a platform for real-time monitoring, designing and developing high-volume applications, creating complex backend services using Java, developing technical specifications, and debugging production issues.
Requirements:
A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field is required.
Proficiency in Java programming is essential.
Experience with Git, Jenkins, and other development tools is necessary.
Candidates should have experience in debugging and testing applications.
Experience in building RESTful microservices is required.
Familiarity with basic DevOps tasks for deploying applications in development and test environments is expected.
Experience with public cloud platforms like AWS or GCP is a plus.
Knowledge of Kubernetes is preferred.
Willingness to participate in paid on-call duty is required, in line with the "You Build It, You Run It" philosophy.
A strong sense of quality, personal responsibility, and a passion for development is essential.
