Description:

  • LivePerson is seeking a Junior Backend Developer (Java) to join the Platform Foundation team, which consists of 5 engineers across 3 European countries.
  • The role involves working in a fast-paced environment on projects that enhance customer engagement through messaging.
  • Responsibilities include building a platform for real-time monitoring, designing and developing high-volume applications, creating complex backend services using Java, developing technical specifications, and debugging production issues.

Requirements:

  • A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field is required.
  • Proficiency in Java programming is essential.
  • Experience with Git, Jenkins, and other development tools is necessary.
  • Candidates should have experience in debugging and testing applications.
  • Experience in building RESTful microservices is required.
  • Familiarity with basic DevOps tasks for deploying applications in development and test environments is expected.
  • Experience with public cloud platforms like AWS or GCP is a plus.
  • Knowledge of Kubernetes is preferred.
  • Willingness to participate in paid on-call duty is required, in line with the "You Build It, You Run It" philosophy.
  • A strong sense of quality, personal responsibility, and a passion for development is essential.
