Remote Junior Backend Engineer (Cloud)

Description:

• A cutting-edge IoT technology company in Romania is looking for a Junior Backend Engineer (Cloud) to join their team.
• The role involves designing and implementing backend systems using Node.js and/or Python with AWS services.
• Responsibilities include focusing on AWS Lambda, DynamoDB, API Gateway, and other AWS services, using Infrastructure as Code tools like AWS CloudFormation and/or Terraform, managing CI/CD pipelines, and developing microservices architecture, RESTful APIs, and event-driven systems.
• The Junior Backend Engineer will also implement serverless computing principles and frameworks, ensure security best practices in a serverless environment, debug complex issues, and collaborate effectively in a team while mentoring junior team members.

Requirements:

• The ideal candidate should have 1-2 years of experience in Backend/Cloud development.
• Strong proficiency in Python, JavaScript, or TypeScript is required.
• Experience with serverless frameworks and AWS services is a must.
• Familiarity with security best practices and microservices architecture is expected.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills are essential.
• AWS certifications are considered a plus, and customer support experience is advantageous.
