Description:
The Junior Backend Engineer will be responsible for building systems for controlled and transparent money flows for both mobility customers and providers in the FinTech Team at FREENOW.
The role involves offering customers a tailor-made and convenient payment experience while ensuring transparency with partners about their financials to build trust.
The engineer will work in a multinational, diverse, highly motivated, and collaborative team of passionate developers striving for excellence.
Responsibilities include owning features, code, and microservices, collaborating in an agile environment, staying updated on technology trends, implementing clean and scalable microservices, maintaining existing features, debugging issues, and solving real problems impacting users.
The position plays a crucial role in ensuring FinTech scalability and reliability for business success, compliance with regulations, and enabling diverse business initiatives.
Requirements:
1 or 2 years of software engineering experience/knowledge in Kotlin or Java.
While advanced university degrees are preferred, candidates can demonstrate their skills without these degrees.
Ability to abstract technical information based on the audience's level of understanding.
Proficiency in scalable web applications like RESTful APIs, event-driven architectures, transactions, and resiliency.
Familiarity with Spring (Boot) or similar JVM framework, relational databases, testing in the software life cycle, and preferably financial systems knowledge.
