Remote Junior BI Analyst (US Retail, Home-based)

Description:

• The Junior BI Analyst position is a full-time role based in the Philippines, specifically in Mandaluyong, with a salary range of P70,000 to P80,000 monthly.
• The work schedule is Monday to Friday from 08:00 AM to 05:00 PM EST.
• The role involves conducting data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and insights that support business objectives.
• The analyst will develop and maintain interactive Power BI reports and dashboards to visualize key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics.
• Responsibilities include utilizing SQL and Azure to extract, manipulate, and analyze data from various sources while supporting data integrity and quality assurance processes.
• The position requires applying Python and Excel expertise for data analysis and light data science tasks, including statistical analysis and predictive modeling.
• The analyst will collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business needs and translate them into analytical solutions.
• Communication skills are essential for presenting findings and recommendations to stakeholders clearly and concisely, as well as assisting in the development of documentation and training materials for end-users.

Requirements:

• A Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Business Analytics, Statistics, or a related field is required.
• Candidates must have 2+ years of experience in Business Intelligence, Data Analysis, or Data Science.
• Proficiency in data analysis and visualization tools, particularly Power BI, is necessary.
• Strong skills in Python and Excel for data manipulation and analysis are required.
• Experience with SQL and Azure for data querying and management is essential.
• Familiarity with Jupyter notebooks is expected.
• Candidates should have a basic understanding of retail, marketing, and customer analysis concepts.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail are required.
• Strong business acumen and a genuine curiosity about business processes and data are essential.
• Previous experience in a data analysis or business intelligence role, familiarity with data warehousing concepts, and basic knowledge of R or other data science tools are considered a plus.
• Experience working in a retail or marketing environment is also advantageous.
