Description:

The Junior Cloud Administrator will focus on the technical delivery of next-generation cloud hosting platforms.
This role will drive operational excellence and innovation in the market while supporting global clients.
It is a full-time remote position.
Responsibilities include solving complex problems and troubleshooting issues quickly.
The candidate will provide superior support to customers and monitor the processing of data through software and database platforms.
They will evaluate new issues based on past experience and escalate them when appropriate.
The role involves configuring database monitoring utilities to minimize false alarms.
The candidate will baseline system performance and monitor for deviations, recommending and implementing improvements to slow-running queries.
They will monitor Production Workflows and take corrective actions for errors.
Regular User Assurance Testing on data and application testing will be performed.
The candidate will communicate with customers via phone and email and track/follow-up on tasks/issues with attention to detail.
The position requires a highly motivated, focused, energetic individual who can work in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements:

A minimum of 2 years’ experience in client-facing customer support with previous interaction troubleshooting technical problems with defined SLAs is required.
Significant experience with Microsoft SQL Server and T-SQL, including stored procedures, is a must.
Understanding or experience in relational and OLAP style databases is necessary, along with knowledge of transactional, no-sql, and analytical database operating principles and methodology.
Familiarity with SQL Server (2016+), MongoDB database (3.x – 5.x), and big data databases and cloud technologies like BigQuery and CloudSQL is preferred.
The candidate must be willing to work both weekend days.
Proficiency in one or more ETL tools or experience developing components of an ETL system from scratch is required.
Understanding of data pipelines with multi-step transformations is necessary.
Exposure to the GCP toolset, including Big Query and Airflow/Composer, is a plus.
The candidate should be able to define business requirements for technical integration.
