Blue Coding is seeking a Junior Data Engineer to work remotely from Latin America.
The company specializes in hiring developers and professionals from Latin America and has been supporting companies in the US and Canada for the past 10 years.
The role involves developing and maintaining systems in enterprise data and analytics environments for a US client in the life insurance sector.
Responsibilities include optimizing performance by building and supporting decision-making tools and collaborating with software engineering, AI/ML, Cybersecurity, and DevOps/SysOps teams.
The position requires building data pipelines in Python or Scala and designing database models and infrastructure.
Daily tasks include designing, developing, and maintaining data pipelines and data stores, tracking performance, and collaborating with peers across the organization.
The work environment is fully remote and flexible, allowing for work from anywhere in the listed countries.

Requirements:

A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field is required.
Candidates must have 1-5 years of experience working with data environments in an engineering or technical capacity.
Experience with structured (SQL) and/or unstructured (NoSQL) data approaches is necessary.
Familiarity with data visualization tools, particularly PowerBI and Tableau, is preferred.
Candidates should have experience ingesting data using AWS platform technologies such as S3, EMR (Spark), Lambda, Kinesis, Firehose, Glue, and Terraform.
Strong communication skills and a desire to advance knowledge in data engineering are essential.
Excellent time management skills and a driven, self-motivated attitude are required.
