Remote Junior Data Modeler

Description:

• We are seeking a Junior Data Modeler with strong hands-on experience in cloud data platforms to join our growing data architecture team.
• This role will be responsible for designing conceptual, logical, and physical data models across multiple platforms including SQL Data Warehouses, Spark, Databricks Delta Lakehouse, and other modern cloud-native environments.
• The ideal candidate will combine deep domain knowledge in Customer, Sales, Finance, and Supplier with technical expertise to create scalable and reusable data models that power enterprise analytics and data products.
• Responsibilities include governing data modeling standards, developing deep business domain expertise, leading design and code reviews, working across structured and unstructured data, building cloud-centric data models, collaborating with data stewards, supporting data analysis, and defining Source-to-Target Mappings for ETL/BI teams.

Requirements:

• Expertise in data modeling tools such as ER/Studio, Erwin, and IDM/ARDM models, particularly in CPG, Manufacturing, Sales, Finance, Supplier, and Customer domains.
• Experience with at least one MPP database technology such as Databricks Lakehouse, Redshift, Synapse, Teradata, or Snowflake.
• Experience with version control systems like GitHub and deployment & CI tools.
• Experience in metadata management, data lineage, and data glossaries is a plus.
• Working knowledge of agile development, including DevOps and DataOps concepts.
• Working knowledge of SAP data models, particularly in the context of HANA and S/4HANA, and Retail Data like IRI and Nielsen Retail.
