Description:

Interapt is seeking a Junior DevOps Associate with at least 1 year of hands-on experience in cloud environments and automation to join their clients' Risk team.
This role offers a unique opportunity to apply DevOps expertise while being cross-trained in IT General Controls (ITGC), IT Audit, and risk and compliance frameworks.
The Junior DevOps Associate will work directly with high-growth clients, including pre-IPO companies, to build and optimize control environments that meet regulatory and investor readiness standards.
Responsibilities include collaborating with risk consultants and IT auditors to assess and strengthen technology control environments.
The role involves automating deployment, monitoring, and configuration management across client environments, primarily using AWS.
The associate will support the design and implementation of DevOps pipelines with a focus on compliance.
Participation in system reviews to identify gaps in infrastructure security, change management, and access controls is required.
The associate will assist clients in preparation for IPO or audit readiness by aligning their DevOps practices with governance frameworks.
Building scripts/tools to help automate evidence collection or control monitoring processes is part of the job.
Acting as a technical Subject Matter Expert (SME) during client meetings and documentation sessions is expected.

Requirements:

A Bachelor's Degree is required for consideration.
Candidates must have 1+ years of experience in a DevOps or Cloud Engineering role.
Proficiency with AWS services or similar (EC2, S3, IAM, etc.) is preferred.
Experience with CI/CD tools is necessary.
Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) is required.
Experience using scripting tools such as Python, Bash, or similar is essential.
Excellent communication and organizational skills for client-facing work are mandatory.
Preferred qualifications include a passion for learning and applying IT risk, controls, and compliance concepts.
Exposure to or interest in SOX compliance, NIST, or COSO frameworks is advantageous.
Experience working in regulated or high-growth environments (e.g., fintech, healthcare, pre-IPO) is preferred.
An AWS certification (Cloud Practitioner, Solutions Architect Associate, etc.) is a plus.
