Description:

  • Join Checkly as a Junior Software Developer in Support, a remote-first startup focused on Monitoring as Code (MaC).
  • The role involves helping developers ensure the stability of their web apps and APIs.
  • You will be the second Software Developer in Support and the first in the Americas, reporting to Checkly’s Head of Customer Solutions.
  • Responsibilities include advising customers on solving complex technical challenges, being the first point of contact for customer requests, investigating and reproducing issues, collaborating with product and engineering teams, and contributing to support processes.

Requirements:

  • Initial work experience in a technical role, such as a developer, is required.
  • Strong technical skills to read, write, and debug code, preferably in Javascript/Node.js.
  • Familiarity with web technologies, including HTTP, REST, and Chrome DevTools, is necessary.
  • A basic understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) practices, and source control (git) is expected.
  • Empathy and a passion for working with customers to solve their problems are essential.
  • Excellent written English skills are required.
  • The ability to be autonomous and self-motivated in a remote work environment is important, along with a desire to connect with colleagues and assist others.
  • Candidates must be located in time zones UTC-3 or UTC-4.
  • Attention to detail is crucial; applicants should include the word “RACCOON” at the beginning of their cover letter.
