Remote Junior Software Developer Intern

Description:

• Faro Health is seeking a highly motivated individual to join their team as a Junior Software Developer Intern in the Software Engineering Team.
• The internship is full-time and offers the opportunity to work with a dynamic team of software professionals.
• The intern will gain valuable experience in programming languages and tools relevant to the technology stack, contribute code to ongoing projects, and complete assigned tasks within timelines.
• Responsibilities include improving the user interface, writing functional and unit tests, analyzing web page performance, and participating in team meetings.
• The candidate must be located in the San Diego area and applications will only be accepted via the web.

Requirements:

• Knowledge or experience with TypeScript, HTML, SCSS, Node.js, and ideally a unit testing framework.
• Familiarity with React or other JS frameworks like Angular/Vue, with some experience being a plus.
• Experience with relational databases and data analytics is advantageous.
• Self-motivated, able to work independently and in a team, willing to learn new technologies, and take on different assignments.
• Strong problem-solving, critical thinking, written and verbal communication skills, and an understanding of software development.
• Currently enrolled in a computer science degree program, with prior internship or professional programming experience preferred.

Benefits:

• The pay range for this position is $20-$25/hr.
• Individual pay is determined by factors such as job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
