As a Junior Software Development Engineer on the Services team at OfferUp, you will be responsible for developing and deploying multiple features with high operational excellence.
Your tasks will include designing, writing well-architected and thoroughly tested code, and analyzing metrics to roll out features.
You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to create new mobile and web experiences using technologies like NodeJS, React, and React Native.
The OfferUp Services team focuses on products like Premium, PromotePlus, and Paywalls, catering to high-volume sellers and seasoned buyers.
The team prioritizes feature enhancement, performance optimization, and improving conversion and retention rates.
This role is available only outside the US and not to individuals within the US or any US territory.

3+ years of professional software engineering experience.
Proficiency in Javascript or Typescript.
Experience in developing mobile applications professionally.
Strong coding skills in Front-end focused Software Development (React Native, ReactJS, HTML, CSS).
Familiarity with Apollo GraphQL, Data Structures, and Object-Oriented Design.
Knowledge of web optimization performance, design patterns, and cross-browser compatibility.
Desire for continuous learning and ability to work in a fast-moving development environment.
BS or MS in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
Excellent communication skills in English.
