Remote Junior Software Engineer (Chile)

Description:

• The Junior Software Engineer position in Chile is responsible for assisting in the design, development, and installation of software solutions.
• Duties include developing, writing code, and documenting functionality to build high-quality, innovative, and fully performing software in compliance with coding standards and technical design.
• Sezzle, the fintech company, aims to financially empower the next generation by offering interest-free installment plans through its payment platform.
• The interview process at Sezzle includes various stages such as a cognitive test, coding assessment, potential English assessment, interviews with recruiters, engineers, and engineering leadership.
• The technical stack at Sezzle includes Golang backend, React/React Native front-end, Grafana/Loki/Prometheus metrics, Kubernetes, AWS, Amazon Aurora (MySQL) RDS, and Gitlab CI/CD deployments.
• Responsibilities involve being an integral part of the software development lifecycle, working on new features, evaluating and deploying software tools, providing support on software systems usage, and ensuring compliance with project plans and industry standards.
• Ideal skills and experience include working on single page web applications, backend API development, relational database storage and retrieval, familiarity with software engineering tools and methodologies, and a degree in Computer Science or Engineering.

Requirements:

• Experience working on single page web applications (SPA)
• Experience with backend API development
