The role involves working within the Betting division on technical and product-focused initiatives to enhance Sportsbook and Risk Management products.
The Junior Software Engineer will be part of a high-performance team, contributing to the development of innovative solutions in a multi-disciplinary Agile environment.
Responsibilities include building distributed, real-time systems using modern CI/CD pipelines and cloud infrastructure, while maintaining a focus on continuous delivery and improvement.
The position requires a data-driven mentality and a pragmatic approach to problem-solving.
Requirements:
Candidates must have an understanding of at least one object-oriented programming language, such as C#, Java, JavaScript, Kotlin, Python, PHP, Golang, or C++.
A solid grasp of good software design principles, including information hiding, abstraction, module design, cohesion, and coupling is required.
Knowledge of testing methodologies and the ability to design high-quality testing suites that are resilient to changes in implementation is essential.
Familiarity with C# and broader software architecture knowledge, including architectural patterns for scalable, fault-tolerant microservices, is advantageous.
Experience with continuous integration, pipeline design, containerized workloads, and infrastructure as code is preferred.
Knowledge of Kubernetes clusters, cloud-native applications, messaging technologies, front-end web technologies, Domain Driven Design, and data engineering skills is beneficial.
Candidates should demonstrate curiosity, strong social skills, time management, and the ability to work collaboratively in a remote-first environment.
Excellent spoken and written English is required.
