Description:

  • The Junior Web Developer position is a 12-month contract opportunity with Heart & Stroke, a company dedicated to promoting health, saving lives, and enhancing recovery.
  • The role involves working on online fundraising and internal systems, focusing on email development in Salesforce Marketing Cloud.
  • Responsibilities include developing, maintaining, and troubleshooting online fundraising tools, producing HTML, CSS, JavaScript, TypeScript, React, Next.js, Jest, and SQL code, and coding email templates.
  • The position requires collaborating with internal and external stakeholders, participating in stakeholder meetings, gathering business requirements, and supporting project delivery processes.
  • The ideal candidate will have post-secondary education in Computer Science or a related field, 1-2 years of software development experience, and skills in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, TypeScript, SQL, MVC Frameworks, RESTful APIs, Agile methodologies, source control tools, SaaS environments, email modules, Salesforce, Sitecore, data management principles, AWS/Azure, and creating support documentation.
  • Other requirements include the ability to work in a team environment, excellent communication skills, ability to work under pressure, experience in business process analysis, understanding of systems environments, quality assurance, and change management.

Requirements:

  • Post-secondary education (degree or diploma) in Computer Science or a related field.
  • 1-2 years of experience in a software development role.
  • Skills in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, TypeScript, SQL, MVC Frameworks, RESTful APIs, Agile methodologies, source control tools, SaaS environments, email modules, Salesforce, Sitecore, data management principles, AWS/Azure, creating support documentation, teamwork, communication, working under pressure, business process analysis, systems environments, quality assurance, and change management.
