The goal of Advana is to simplify solutions and empower analysts and decision-makers at the Department of Defense with the power of analytics.
The Senior-Level Kubernetes Engineer will work with massive amounts of structured and unstructured data to unlock insights and explore new possibilities in IoT, machine learning, and artificial intelligence.
The role involves turning complex data sets into valuable information to address global challenges across various sectors.
Requirements:
Candidates must have 3+ years of experience working with Kubernetes or an equivalent application platform, with knowledge in containerization, cluster administration, CI/CD deployments, and IAC’ed bootstrap and deployment.
Candidates should have 3+ years of experience with AWS constructs, including at least one major serverless application architecture/deployment, with knowledge of serverless cloud, VM instances, cloud-specific Kubernetes offerings (EKS, AKS, GKE), and storage solutions (S3, EBS, EFS).
Knowledge of DevOps, DevSecOps, and best practices is required, including CI/CD, platform management, and authentication/authorization.
An active DoD Secret Clearance is mandatory.
Additional qualifications include AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate, vendor certifications for relevant data products, postgraduate work or an advanced degree in a data management discipline, familiarity with Active Directory constructs, AI/ML tooling (Kubeflow, Sagemaker), and big data tooling (Hadoop, Spark, RedShift, HDFS).
Candidates must be willing to work on the bleeding edge of commercial constructs in a secure and restricted environment and possess excellent written and verbal communication skills along with proven collaboration skills.
