Description:

VivSoft is seeking a Mid-Level Kubernetes Engineer to work on a critical Department of Defense (DoD) project.
Responsibilities include designing, implementing, and maintaining Kubernetes-based infrastructure for containerized applications.
Collaboration with development, operations, and security teams to ensure secure, scalable, and compliant Kubernetes clusters.
Designing network connectivity, provisioning strategies, and Role-Based Access Control (RBAC) systems.
Maintaining, configuring, and monitoring containers across different environments using IaC principles.
Designing containerized solutions for databases, data auditing, caching, and performance optimization.
Implementing security measures, data protection strategies, and CI/CD pipelines.
Experience in technical customer service and handling escalations may be required.

Requirements:

Active DoD SECRET clearance or ability to obtain one.
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field.
5-7 years of Kubernetes experience in a production environment, preferably in a DoD or government setting.
Proficiency in managing Kubernetes clusters on-premises, AWS EKS, RKE2, Azure AKS, GCP GKE.
Strong understanding of container technologies, microservices architecture, and IaC tools.
Familiarity with DevOps practices, CI/CD tools, networking concepts, security, and storage within Kubernetes environments.
Knowledge of security frameworks and standards like NIST, DoD STIGs.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
