Description:

  • The Kubernetes Engineer will orchestrate containerized applications and manage complex Kubernetes environments that power modern cloud-native systems.
  • This role involves designing, deploying, and maintaining scalable Kubernetes solutions to enhance performance, security, and reliability.
  • The engineer will collaborate with DevOps teams, cloud architects, and developers to build and maintain robust container orchestration systems.
  • Key responsibilities include architecting and deploying scalable, secure Kubernetes clusters, developing CI/CD pipelines, optimizing resource utilization, implementing security measures, managing scaling and load balancing, troubleshooting issues, and staying updated with Kubernetes and cloud-native technologies.

Requirements:

  • Extensive experience in deploying, configuring, and managing Kubernetes clusters in cloud platforms (e.g., AWS EKS, GCP GKE, Azure AKS) and on-premises is required.
  • A strong background in Docker and container orchestration is necessary, with the ability to design containerized applications optimized for Kubernetes.
  • Proficiency in building CI/CD pipelines and automating workflows using tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, or Argo CD is essential.
  • Experience with monitoring and logging tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, or ELK Stack for maintaining the health of Kubernetes environments is required.
  • Familiarity with Kubernetes security practices, including RBAC, network policies, and securing container images and clusters is necessary.
  • A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is required, with equivalent experience in Kubernetes and cloud-native engineering considered.
  • Certifications such as Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA) or Certified Kubernetes Application Developer (CKAD) are highly desirable.
  • A minimum of 5+ years of experience in IT infrastructure or DevOps engineering, with at least 3+ years focusing on Kubernetes and container orchestration is required.
  • Hands-on experience with microservices architecture and distributed systems is necessary, and familiarity with service mesh technologies (e.g., Istio, Linkerd) is a plus.
