Description:
The Kubernetes Engineer will orchestrate containerized applications and manage complex Kubernetes environments that power modern cloud-native systems.
This role involves designing, deploying, and maintaining scalable Kubernetes solutions to enhance performance, security, and reliability.
The engineer will collaborate with DevOps teams, cloud architects, and developers to build and maintain robust container orchestration systems.
Key responsibilities include architecting and deploying scalable, secure Kubernetes clusters in cloud and on-premises environments, ensuring high availability and fault tolerance.
The engineer will develop CI/CD pipelines to automate the deployment of containerized applications, integrating tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, or Argo CD.
Resource allocation strategies will be implemented, and performance of Kubernetes workloads will be monitored using tools such as Prometheus and Grafana.
Security measures will be implemented by configuring network policies, RBAC, and ensuring compliance with industry standards.
The engineer will manage scaling and load balancing of applications, configuring horizontal and vertical scaling and implementing load balancing solutions.
Troubleshooting and resolving performance bottlenecks and deployment errors will be a critical part of the role.
Staying updated with new features, updates, and best practices in Kubernetes and related cloud-native technologies is essential.
Requirements:
Extensive experience in deploying, configuring, and managing Kubernetes clusters in cloud platforms (e.g., AWS EKS, GCP GKE, Azure AKS) and on-premises is required.
A strong background in Docker and container orchestration is necessary, with the ability to design containerized applications optimized for Kubernetes.
Proficiency in building CI/CD pipelines and automating workflows using tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, or Argo CD is essential.
Experience with monitoring and logging tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, or ELK Stack for maintaining the health of Kubernetes environments is required.
Familiarity with Kubernetes security practices, including RBAC, network policies, and securing container images and clusters is necessary.
A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is required, with equivalent experience in Kubernetes and cloud-native engineering considered.
Certifications such as Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA), Certified Kubernetes Application Developer (CKAD), or other related certifications are highly desirable.
A minimum of 5+ years of experience in IT infrastructure or DevOps engineering is required, with at least 3+ years focusing on Kubernetes and container orchestration.
Hands-on experience with microservices architecture and distributed systems is necessary, and familiarity with service mesh technologies (e.g., Istio, Linkerd) is a plus.
Benefits:
Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance plans with low co-pays and premiums are provided.
Competitive vacation, sick leave, and 20 paid holidays per year are included in the benefits package.
Flexible work schedules and telecommuting options promote work-life balance.
