Description:

Praxent is seeking a Senior Software Engineer with expertise in React and Python for a remote position available to candidates in Mexico and Brazil.
The role involves enhancing the team's capacity to deliver assigned stories by the end of the sprint.
Responsibilities include cultivating camaraderie within the project team, developing features with novel technical designs, mentoring junior developers, and managing pipelines and environments.
The engineer will present technical and sprint demos during review meetings and demonstrate proficiency in building user interfaces, data-driven REST APIs, and administering databases/cloud/servers.
Daily activities include ensuring the team understands acceptance criteria, tracking progress, limiting QA kickback, and finding opportunities to increase capacity and velocity.

Requirements:

Candidates must demonstrate proficiency in at least two of the following: building attractive user interfaces, building data-driven REST APIs, and administering databases/cloud/servers.
A minimum of 5-8 years of professional experience in relevant technology and projects is required, including managing DevOps pipelines and acting as a technical lead.
Strong experience in Python or Go backend development, with expertise in building scalable APIs and services is essential.
Proficiency in microservices, Docker, Kubernetes, and database management (MySQL/NoSQL) is required, focusing on performance and optimization.
Experience in building interactive and responsive user interfaces using front-end technologies such as React, React.JS, JavaScript, and TypeScript is necessary.
Candidates should have experience presenting to client stakeholders and articulating the business outcomes of development projects.
Mentorship experience through coaching and structured code reviews is required.
Relevant education may include intensive programs or a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent experience.
