Description:
Praxent is seeking a LATAM Software Engineer (React/Node) for a remote position, allowing employees to work from a location of their choice within Mexico.
The role involves delivering complex software features during Agile development engagements, addressing defects, and handling enhancement requests with support from senior engineers.
Engineers are expected to participate in Agile delivery by seeking guidance, raising concerns, and mentoring peers.
Candidates should demonstrate competency in building user interfaces, REST APIs, and administering databases/cloud/servers.
Collaboration with client stakeholders during sprint planning is essential to finalize and document technical approaches.
Daily activities include understanding acceptance criteria, sharing progress, limiting QA kickback, and delivering assigned stories.
The role requires developing new features, fixing bugs, and coordinating with the team for high-priority items or major releases.
Requirements:
Candidates must have demonstrable proficiency in at least two of the following: building attractive user interfaces, building data-driven REST APIs, and administering databases/cloud/servers.
A minimum of 3-5 years of professional experience in relevant technology and projects is required, including adherence to best practices and applying DevOps practices.
Expertise in modern JavaScript frameworks and libraries, particularly React, Vue.js, and Angular, is necessary, along with the ability to build responsive user interfaces using TypeScript.
Extensive experience in building scalable server-side applications using Node.js and a strong understanding of RESTful API design and implementation is required.
Experience collaborating with client stakeholders during sprint planning and documenting technical approaches is essential.
Candidates should have a clear understanding of the business outcomes impacted by their development projects.
Relevant education may include intensive programs or a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent experience.
