Description:
Praxent is seeking a LATAM Software Engineer with expertise in React, Python, and AI for a remote position available to candidates in Mexico and Brazil.
The role involves delivering complex software features during Agile development engagements, addressing defects, and handling enhancement requests.
Engineers will participate in Agile delivery by seeking guidance, raising concerns, and mentoring peers.
Candidates are expected to demonstrate competency in building user interfaces, REST APIs, and administering databases/cloud/servers.
Collaboration with client stakeholders during sprint planning is essential to finalize and document technical approaches.
Daily activities include understanding acceptance criteria, sharing progress, limiting QA kickback, and delivering assigned stories.
The position emphasizes a healthy work/life balance, with a maximum of 40 hours of work per week.
Requirements:
Candidates must have demonstrable proficiency in at least two of the following: building user interfaces, building data-driven REST APIs, and administering databases/cloud/servers.
A minimum of 3-5 years of professional experience in relevant technologies and projects is required, with adherence to best practices and DevOps practices.
Strong experience in Python backend development, particularly in building scalable APIs and services, is necessary.
Hands-on experience with AI/ML frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, or scikit-learn is required for building intelligent systems and optimizing algorithms.
Experience in building interactive user interfaces using front-end technologies like React, JavaScript, and TypeScript is essential.
Candidates should have experience collaborating with client stakeholders during sprint planning and documenting technical approaches.
An understanding of the business outcomes impacted by development projects is important.
Relevant education may include a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent experience.
