Dreamix is seeking a skilled and driven Lead AI Engineer to join their team in Sofia City Province, Bulgaria.
The role involves leading the development, implementation, and optimization of advanced AI solutions that deliver business impact and improve user experiences.
Responsibilities include driving the design, development, and deployment of advanced machine learning models and AI systems to solve complex business challenges.
The Lead AI Engineer will partner with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into robust technical solutions and actionable insights.
The position requires leading teams of 3-5 AI/ML engineers, data engineers, and MLOps professionals.
The engineer will work closely with software developers to integrate AI and data-driven modules into larger software solutions, ensuring seamless functionality and performance.
Mentoring and guiding junior data scientists and engineers while promoting best practices in AI/ML development is also a key responsibility.
Conducting comprehensive data analysis and model validation to ensure the robustness, reliability, and scalability of AI/ML solutions is essential.
The role includes translating complex technical concepts and results to non-technical stakeholders clearly and persuasively.
Participation in ad hoc pre-sales efforts to support business development initiatives is also expected.

Requirements:

A Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field is required.
Candidates must have 7-8 years of experience in data science, machine learning, or AI engineering, with a demonstrated track record of deploying machine learning models and AI solutions in production environments.
In-depth knowledge of statistical analysis, predictive modeling, and optimization techniques is necessary.
Proficiency in Python and extensive experience with ML frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, and Scikit-learn is required.
Familiarity with ORM tools like SQLAlchemy and API development libraries such as Flask and FastAPI is essential.
Strong skills in data processing and analysis using SQL, Pandas, and Spark are needed.
Experience with cloud computing platforms such as AWS and Azure is required.
Exceptional problem-solving skills and a strategic mindset, with the ability to drive change and influence organizational direction, are necessary.
Strong leadership capabilities and excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage teams and stakeholders, are essential.
Nice to have: Experience in deploying models using containerization and orchestration tools like Docker and Kubernetes, and experience with the deployment of Large Language Model (LLM) solutions.
