Remote Lead AI Engineer

Description:

• Career Karma is seeking a Lead AI Engineer to join the team and lead the design and development of web applications with a focus on integrating AI capabilities.
• The role involves driving technical excellence by aligning software and systems to the overall technical strategy.
• Responsibilities include leading the design and implementation of AI capabilities into web applications, defining technical solutions, conducting AI-related spikes and R&D projects, performing code reviews, and mentoring peers.
• Required skills include 10+ years of full-stack or back-end software engineering experience, experience implementing AI solutions, commercial experience with Python, familiarity with security best practices, and strong English communication skills.
• Additional skills that would be a plus include experience with GraphQL, Prisma ORM, Apollo Client, Apollo Server, DevOps/Cloud experience, and working in architect positions.
• Career Karma is a global, fully remote company based in San Francisco, with products for both B2B and B2C markets and a mission-driven team located in 11 countries around the world.

Requirements:

• 10+ years of experience in the role of full-stack or back-end software engineer.
• Mandatory experience implementing AI solutions (prompt engineering, LLM, Conversational AI).
• Commercial experience with Python.
• Experience with LangChain, LangSmith, RAG, Multi-agency designs.
• Experience in conducting R&D projects and technological explorations.
• Experience with JS stack: node.js.
• Knowledge of security best practices in web development.
• Familiarity with monitoring tools and techniques.
• Strong English communication skills.
