MentorMate is seeking a Lead Android Developer to manage the full technical life-cycle of building features, fixing bugs, and improving technology.
The role involves leading and mentoring a team of Android developers while providing technical guidance and support.
Responsibilities include managing client expectations, researching and adapting functionality to leverage existing Android design patterns, and architecting scalable software solutions.
The Lead Android Developer will work across disciplines with team members from product, content, and web development.
The position requires coding with Kotlin, Java, and Android frameworks, as well as overseeing the design, development, and maintenance of Android applications.
The mobile development team utilizes the latest technologies such as Swift UI, Jetpack Compose, React Native, and Flutter to develop native and hybrid mobile apps for various industries.

Requirements:

Candidates must have 10+ years of software engineering experience and 6+ years specifically as an Android Developer.
Proven experience in a leadership role, managing and mentoring a team is required.
A Bachelor's or advanced degree in computer science or a related discipline is necessary.
Strong proficiency in Kotlin on Android is a plus, along with experience in publishing apps.
Familiarity with back-end development and experience with CI/CD pipelines and automated testing is essential.
Candidates should have an excellent understanding of managing limited resources efficiently, including memory, network, and CPU.
Excellent spoken and written English skills are required, along with strong analytical-reasoning and problem-solving abilities.
The ideal candidate should be versatile and adaptable to changing project requirements and environments, with the ability to collaborate in a small team.
