Description:

As a Lead Backend Engineer, you will lead the development and architecture of backend systems for Corelight's products and services.
You will oversee a team of backend engineers and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality, scalable, and reliable software solutions.
Responsibilities include leading technical design discussions, designing and operating scalable microservices, building REST APIs/GraphQL services, and working in an Agile development team.
You will also evangelize software development best practices and work closely with offshore teams on various development projects.

Requirements:

You must have a strong appreciation for Corelight's core values: low ego results, tireless service, and applied curiosity.
A minimum of 7 years of professional software development experience is required.
You should have experience building REST APIs/GraphQL for data-heavy visual user interfaces.
Proficiency in AWS Services (Lambda, AppSync, API Gateway) or equivalent is necessary.
You must have experience with programming languages such as Python, Java, and/or Go.
Knowledge of Relational and NoSQL databases is required.
Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and containerized microservices is essential.
You should have experience adopting and using Agile development methodologies.
Excellent communication skills are necessary for collaborating with multiple teams and influencing product directions.
A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related fields, or equivalent experience, is required.

Compensation for this position ranges from $185,000 to $220,000 USD, depending on location, skills, and experience.
