Remote Lead Backend Engineer

Description:

• NuvoAir is seeking an exceptional Lead Backend Engineer to help build their next generation care platform.
• The role requires exceptional coding skills and solid software engineering fundamentals.
• The candidate should be passionate about healthcare and creating products that positively impact people's lives globally.
• Responsibilities include developing new features with client teams, maintaining and improving NuvoAir's backend systems, ensuring quality, efficiency, and security of these systems, and scaling the systems to accommodate a growing user base worldwide.

Requirements:

• The candidate must have 10+ years of backend development experience.
• Heavy experience in Java or Kotlin is required, along with ORM (Django, Hibernate) and relational database systems.
• The candidate should have rolled out and supported an application with a significant number of users in production.
• Experience with Docker is necessary.
• It is an added bonus if the candidate has DevOps experience, experience working in a Cloud environment (i.e., Azure), Domain Driven Design experience, and web/Javascript development experience.
• Candidates must reside in Canada.
