The company is seeking a Lead Backend Engineer to work remotely from Poland.
The Lead Backend Engineer will develop scalable, high-performance backend systems that drive the company's products.
Responsibilities include designing, building, and maintaining key application features while collaborating with Software Engineers, UX Designers, and Product Managers.
The role involves ensuring high engineering standards through coding, testing, code reviews, and process improvements.
The Lead Backend Engineer will mentor junior engineers and contribute to the strategic direction of the backend architecture.
Key accountabilities include leading the design and maintenance of backend systems, implementing best engineering practices, collaborating on product features, championing process improvements, staying updated with emerging technologies, and providing mentorship.

Requirements:

Candidates must have proven multi-year experience leading backend development teams, focusing on scalable, high-traffic applications.
A minimum of 7 years of experience in backend development is required, particularly in REST API design and development using .NET with C#. Experience with Node.js and TypeScript is a plus.
A strong theoretical foundation in computer science, including data structures, algorithms, and computational complexity, is necessary.
In-depth experience with microservice architectures and cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure is required, along with a good understanding of Docker and Kubernetes.
Familiarity with SQL and relational databases, preferably PostgreSQL or MSSQL, is essential.
Strong communication skills in English (B2 or higher) are required, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts clearly.
A passion for mentoring and building strong engineering cultures is important.

The position offers a competitive salary ranging from 22,000-31,000 PLN gross/month.
Employees are eligible for company equity.
