Description:
IT Concepts is seeking a Lead Cloud Data Engineer to support the Consumer Finance Protection Bureau by designing, building, and implementing solutions to migrate data to the cloud.
The responsibilities include collaborating on architecture, design, and development of data platforms, creating a data migration path to AWS, ensuring data quality and security, and prototyping business use cases.
The Lead Data Engineer will work with a team to deliver high-quality data assets, improve data solutions, and reduce total cost of ownership by implementing best practices.
The role involves re-platforming data pipelines to AWS, ensuring data integrity during migrations, and leading by example for successful client delivery.
The position is preferred in the DC area but is remote.
Requirements:
8+ years of experience in Data Engineering, with a focus on leading engineering teams and working in highly regulated environments.
AWS Cloud Certificate is required.
Proficiency in Python, AWS services (S3, EC2, DMS, etc.), data integration patterns, ETL processes, and data pipeline automation tools.
Experience with Databricks, cloud environment deployment, database administration, containerization technology, and data platform migrations.
Knowledge of Linux/RHEL server, bash/shell scripting, and data quality management principles.
Preferred qualifications include a Bachelor's Degree, experience with large-scale data migrations, advanced SQL techniques, data streaming frameworks, and certifications in AWS or Databricks.
