The role of Lead Cloud Engineer involves leading the cloud team to design, deliver, and support cloud solutions that are redundant, scalable, and cost-efficient across multiple cloud platforms in various industries.
The ideal candidate will develop best practices for the cloud engineering function and implement optimal cloud solutions using the latest tools.
The successful candidate should be highly motivated, capable of working independently and as part of a team, and continuously looking to improve their skills.

Requirements:

A minimum of 5 years’ experience in an AWS cloud environment is required.
Experience in configuration management, containerization, automation, and infrastructure as code is necessary.
Demonstrable experience working with web services, including public APIs, REST, and other web platforms is essential.
Candidates must have experience in designing and implementing best practice cloud solutions.
Support experience for Windows Active Directory and Windows Server environments is required.
Experience in supporting relational databases is necessary.
A good technical ability and understanding of networking infrastructure is required.
Candidates must have experience working to and delivering on deadlines.
Effective communication skills in English, both written and verbal, are required.
Experience with networking, such as Site to Site VPNs, subnets, and firewalls, is highly desirable but not essential.
Cloud certification, Oracle DBA experience, scripting in Bash and PowerShell, experience moving applications to the cloud, and supporting .NET/Java applications are all highly desirable but not essential.
