Description:

The Lead Cloud Engineer will manage a team of 4 cloud engineers.
The role involves maintaining existing systems on cloud and data centers.
Responsibilities include migrating customers from old versions of systems to the Cloud and migrating databases to the Cloud.
The candidate will also be involved in the uplift of architecture with a Kubernetes project.
The position requires collaboration with development and architecture teams to design, deliver, and support cloud solutions that are redundant, scalable, and cost-efficient across various industries including aviation, security, fuel management, and manufacturing.
The ideal candidate should be highly motivated, capable of working independently and as part of a team, and continuously looking to improve their skills.

Requirements:

A minimum of 5 years’ experience in an AWS cloud environment is required.
Candidates must have experience in configuration management, containerization, automation, and infrastructure as code.
Demonstrable experience in working with web services, including public APIs, REST, and other web platforms is necessary.
The candidate should have experience in designing and implementing best practice cloud solutions.
Supporting Windows Active Directory and Windows Server environments is required.
Experience in supporting relational databases is essential.
A good technical ability and understanding of networking infrastructure is needed.
Candidates must have experience working to and delivering to deadlines.
Effective communication skills in English, both written and verbal, are required.
Experience with networking such as Site to Site VPNs, Subnets, and Firewalls is necessary.
