Description:
Tala is seeking a visionary Lead Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to drive technological innovation and revolutionize their DevOps landscape.
The role involves providing technical leadership to automate infrastructure and platform services in Public Clouds (AWS, GCP, and Azure) using Terraform and Ansible.
Responsibilities include architecting new solutions for infrastructure and platform, designing and managing Continuous Deployment using Kubernetes, ArgoCD, and Jenkins.
The engineer will monitor applications and services, participate in on-call rotations to resolve issues, and implement strategies to prevent future occurrences.
Setting up intelligent application performance alerts in Datadog and ElasticSearch to proactively address issues is also part of the role.
The position is remote and part of a global team that values an entrepreneurial spirit and passion for Tala's mission.
Requirements:
Candidates must have an understanding of how cloud-based web applications work and a keen interest in measuring, analyzing, and improving distributed systems.
A B.S. Degree in Computer Science or a related field, or an equivalent combination of professional development training and experience is required.
Applicants should have 6 to 8 years of experience deploying and automating infrastructure in public cloud environments, utilizing Infrastructure as Code tools like Terraform or Ansible.
In-depth hands-on experience with at least one public Cloud platform (AWS or GCP) is necessary.
Prior experience as a technical lead working closely with Product, Engineering, and SecOps on shift-left strategies and CI/CD tools is essential.
Experience with Docker and Kubernetes in production environments is required.
Familiarity with Continuous Deployment tools such as Jenkins or ArgoCD is necessary.
Experience with logging and monitoring tools for SaaS, such as Sumo, Splunk, or Datadog, is required.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential, along with the ability to document and explain technical details clearly.
Candidates should demonstrate flexibility to assist across programs and teams, possess strong influence and teamwork skills, and have sound problem resolution, judgment, negotiating, and decision-making skills.
Experience working effectively with global teams across multiple time zones is also required.
