Description:

  • The Lead Computer Vision Engineer will lead a team responsible for research, development, and deployment of methods for generating risk assessment insights from video data.
  • This role is hands-on and requires designing, developing, and implementing solutions both individually and collaboratively.
  • Responsibilities include designing and developing machine learning and deep learning systems for video data analytics, leading the development of computer vision algorithms, fine-tuning large language models, overseeing system design, running ML experiments, mentoring junior engineers, managing project roadmaps, and ensuring effective deployment of CV solutions.

Requirements:

  • A Master’s or PhD in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field is required.
  • Candidates must have 12+ years of experience with Computer Vision tasks such as pose detection, object detection, activity detection, segmentation, localization, and tracking.
  • Strong programming proficiency in C++ and Python is necessary, along with experience in libraries like PyTorch, scikit-learn, pandas, YOLO, and OpenCV.
  • Proven ability to design, train, and implement machine learning and deep learning models for real-world applications is essential.
  • Candidates should demonstrate skill in translating academic research into production-grade computer vision solutions.
  • Hands-on experience in evaluating and optimizing the performance of CV algorithms to meet business objectives is required.
  • Proficiency in releasing algorithms into production and ownership of architectural decisions is necessary.
  • Experience with CV pipelines, preferably in cloud environments like AWS, is required.
  • Strong communication skills are essential for explaining complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with project management tools like Asana or Jira is preferred.
