The Lead Computer Vision Engineer will lead a team responsible for research, development, and deployment of methods for generating risk assessment insights from video data.
This role is hands-on and requires designing, developing, and implementing solutions both individually and collaboratively.
Responsibilities include designing and developing machine learning and deep learning systems for video data analytics, leading the development of computer vision algorithms, fine-tuning large language models, overseeing system design, running ML experiments, mentoring junior engineers, managing project roadmaps, and ensuring effective deployment of CV solutions.
Requirements:
A Master’s or PhD in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field is required.
Candidates must have 12+ years of experience with Computer Vision tasks such as pose detection, object detection, activity detection, segmentation, localization, and tracking.
Strong programming proficiency in C++ and Python is necessary, along with experience in libraries like PyTorch, scikit-learn, pandas, YOLO, and OpenCV.
Proven ability to design, train, and implement machine learning and deep learning models for real-world applications is essential.
Candidates should demonstrate skill in translating academic research into production-grade computer vision solutions.
Hands-on experience in evaluating and optimizing the performance of CV algorithms to meet business objectives is required.
Proficiency in releasing algorithms into production and ownership of architectural decisions is necessary.
Experience with CV pipelines, preferably in cloud environments like AWS, is required.
Strong communication skills are essential for explaining complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Familiarity with project management tools like Asana or Jira is preferred.
